At the Historic Hester Store, we believe life tastes better when it’s shared. From the moment you step onto our front porch, rocking chairs and all, in honor of Mr. Hester, you’ll feel the blend of history and hometown charm that makes our shop special.
Inside, you’ll be greeted with friendly smiles, the smell of fresh-brewed coffee and fresh made biscuits, and a space that feels both familiar and new. Families stop in for warm biscuits and a morning treat, friends gather over lattes or coffee, and of course kids and grown-ups alike wander in later for their favorite scoop of ice cream.
What makes our environment unique is that we’re more than just a breakfast spot, a coffee shop, or an ice cream counter, we’re Dacusville’s community gathering place. Every visit is a chance to enjoy something delicious while becoming part of the story of our town’s past, present, and future.
At Hester Store, history meets everyday convenience in the best possible way. Inside our restored 1895 general store, you’ll find more than breakfast, coffee, and ice cream, you’ll find shelves filled with unique local goods and old-fashioned favorites.
Take a stroll through the shop and browse handmade crafts, locally made candles, regional products, and giftable finds from our amazing vendors. Kids (and adults!) love our classic barrel candy and the wall of nostalgic sweets that bring back memories of simpler times.
Whether you’re stopping in for a hot biscuit and a fresh cup of coffee, grabbing ice cream with the family, or picking up a special item from one of our local makers, Hester Store is designed to be a place where you can slow down, explore, and enjoy the best of Dacusville under one roof.
We’re proud to carry forward the history of this building while filling it with new life, new faces, and a little something for everyone who walks through the door.
